Edifier R1280DBs Active Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers

The Edifier R1280DBs are active Bluetooth bookshelf speakers that bring rich, room-filling audio to your desktop, TV, or turntable setup. With a total power output of 42 watts RMS, these speakers deliver surprisingly robust sound for their compact size, making them a versatile choice for music, movies, and gaming.

Who Are They For?

These speakers are ideal for casual listeners, PC gamers, and home theater enthusiasts who want an affordable, high-quality audio upgrade without the complexity of a full receiver and passive speaker system. They also work beautifully with turntables that have a built-in preamp, offering a simple way to enjoy vinyl.

Key Features and Performance

• 42W RMS Power: Dual 21W amplifiers drive a 4-inch bass driver and 13mm silk dome tweeter per speaker, producing clear highs and punchy lows.
• Multiple Connectivity Options: RCA inputs for analog sources, Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless streaming, and optical/coaxial digital inputs for TVs and consoles.
• Subwoofer Output: Connect an optional subwoofer to add deeper bass for a more immersive experience.
• Bass and Treble Controls: Adjust the sound to your preference with front-panel knobs.
• Remote Control: Conveniently adjust volume, switch inputs, and control playback from across the room.
• Elegant Design: The wood-finish MDF cabinets reduce resonance and look great in any room.

Sound Quality

The R1280DBs produce a balanced sound signature with a slight warmth that flatters vocals and acoustic instruments. The silk dome tweeters deliver smooth, non-fatiguing highs, while the 4-inch woofers provide surprising bass depth for their size. While they won't rattle the walls, they fill a medium-sized room with clean, detailed audio.

Use Cases

Connect them to your computer via Bluetooth or RCA for an immersive gaming and music experience. Hook them up to your TV using the optical input to enjoy movies with clearer dialogue and dynamic effects. Or pair them with a turntable to bring your vinyl collection to life.

Overall, the Edifier R1280DBs offer exceptional value, combining versatile connectivity, solid build quality, and pleasing sound in a stylish package.
